Producer of film Nishabdam that stars actress Anushka Shetty and Bollywood actor R. Madhavan posted a poll asking the audience if they want an OTT release on his social media. The poll yielded positive results and that might make the producer of the film consider releasing on digital platforms after the pandemic situation has made opening multiplexes and cinema halls anytime soon impossible in the country.
According to some sources, the film might release on Amazon Prime soon. The official announcement, that will also have the release date, can be expected this week. The film also stars Anjali, Shalini Pandey and Hollywood fame Michael Madson.
The firstlook of the Tamil (also releasing in Telugu) film was released in September last year. The film portrays Anushka Shetty in the role of an artist suffering from speech impairment who uses her art to express herself. Madhavan plays her husband in the film. The thriller is expected to build up centring a murder that affects both the protagonists.
The film was shot in parts of Seattle, USA. The makers have also planned to dub the film in English, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi to reach a wider audience within the country. Shetty was last seen in a cameo role in Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which is all set to be remade in Hindi with Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.
Her next crucial release will be another Tamil-Telegu magnum opus directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon which also has high chances of starring Madhavan in a main role. It is rumoured to be a sequel to another superhit, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.
