This IPL season is held in the UAE due to the increasing effect of the coronavirus outbreak in India. Since the matches are happening in a bio-secure environment, the chances of bookies contacting the players directly have reduced. However, that does not prevent the chances of corruption happening through an online network.

Ajit Singh, Chief of BCCI ACU, has confirmed the development of PTI. His team will track the concerned person associated with corruption.

Owing to the anti-corruption protocol, the name of the cricketer or franchise has not been disclosed.

BCCI has tied with the UK-based organization Sportradar to stop betting and other such corrupt approaches during the IPL 2020.
