Ishaan Khatter introduced two characters from his upcoming movie Khaali Peeli. One of them was the Pataal Lok fame actor Jaideep Ahlawat in a major role. In the film Khaali Peeli, Jaideep will be seen as Yusuf Chikna.
Sharing a picture with the co-actors, Ishaan wrote on his Instagram,’ In film ladai-jhagda ek taraf.. Behind the screams toh apan team hain. Milo apni pichhar ke gentle giant se – Yusuf Chikna @jaideepahlawat @ananyapanday @anupsoni3 #taxidiaries #KhaaliPeeli.”
The first picture has Ishaan chilling with Anaya Pandey and Jaideep – all three being in a cheerful mood.
The second post had Annup Sonii with a salt and pepper look, pointing out his gun at someone.
The movie Khaali Peeli is being directed by debutant director Maqbool Khan and supported by filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, Himanshu Mehra, and Zee Studios. The shooting for this film began in September 2019, and is now scheduled to stream on OTT platform Zeeplex from October 2.
Its song titled ‘Beyonce Sharma Jayegi’ was criticised by a lot of people to have racist overtones. People attacked the lyrics of the song being “tujhe dekh ke goriya Beyonce sharma jayegi” for glorifying the white skin and a bizarre complexion of the African-American pop star Beyonce.
Composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the song was later tweaked by changing the spelling of Beyonce, replacing ‘c’ with a ‘s.’ Now, they have completely changed the entire line with new line being, “tera dekh ke nakhra duniya sharma jayegi.”
