The 6th round of diplomatic dialogue between India and China regarding the border standoff in eastern Ladakh was held on Wednesday, September 30. The discussion emphasized the urgency to implement the decisions that were introduced in the last round of military talks to avoid misunderstanding and maintain peace in the border region.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the sixth meeting of the senior commanders held last week on the current situation along the Line of Actual Control has a ‘positive’ outcome. Both sides of borders also emphasized on the need to strengthen the communication between the concerned ground commanders to successfully execute the orders issued in the joint press release to maintain border stability.
The steps to de-escalate the tension between the borders were taken over a 14-hour long discussion held on September 1 under the WMCC.
