Flood situation in Karnataka remains the same on Friday due to the torrential rain

The torrential rain and the opened floodgates in major dams of the state have caused havoc on the Karnataka flood as it remains unchanged even after four days. The continuous rain for three days has damaged a huge amount of crops and waterlogged many villages.

The northern part of Karnataka is the worst affected. Reports said that the overflowing of major lakes in the northern districts has resulted in a flood in the food storage houses and lentil mills which destroyed food products and grains.  Some of the worst affected villages are in Kalaburagi and Yadgir districts as river Bhima overflowed damaging standing crops. The other districts are Belagavi, Koppal, Bagalkot, Haveri, Dharwad, Raichur, Gadag are immensely affected as floods hit these districts for the third time this year. The state Chief Minister responded saying that the Centre is aware of the flood situation and has assured every required assistance.
