Actor Richa Chadha filed a defamation suit against another actor Payal Ghosh and others involved for dragging her name into the alleged sexual assault case that was filed by Payal Ghosh against the Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. However, there was an absence of representation from Payal Ghosh’s side in Bombay High Court’s hearing of the defamation suit filed by Richa.
Payal Ghosh’s lawyer claimed that no notice was received by the actor, not even in Whatsapp which led to the adjournment of the court. The hearing for Richa’s case took place over a video call before a Bombay High Court judge. Though Richa’s lawyer claimed that the notices were issued to Ghosh and other respondents alike, but due to the absence of response, the next hearing was scheduled on Wednesday, October 7. Meanwhile, fresh notices will be served to the respondents in the case levelled by Richa Chadha.
