Sudha Murty, the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, the CSR and philanthropic section of Infosys, will retire on December 31, 2021, after she served to the needs of the common man for 25 years. She joined the foundation as a chairperson in December 1996, the time of its inception. On behalf of Infosys Foundation, Sudha Murty ventured out many projects and supported several initiatives dedicated to the underprivileged belonging to the remote areas across India.
Sudha Murty, also an accomplished author said that the Foundation has helped her to witness the true state of India and stretch her helping hand out to the needs of the common man. She remarked her journey in the Infosys Foundation as rewarding as she received huge support from family, the team, the employees of the Foundation, and the beneficiaries. She added that when she started, she thought of the Infosys Foundation as her child, and she a mother of the noble initiative.
