Snow leopards visible in Gangotri National Park since last month

Animal scientist Shambhu Prasad Nautiyal reported this Monday that many Snow leopards had been seen in the Gangotri National Park since the last month. The snow leopard is a rare animal and is an endangered species as well. It is very rare to see something like a snow leopard, especially on the Indian subcontinent.

The snow leopard conservation centre was set up in Uttarakhand a few years back, and ever since, a lot of endangered animals were spotted there like the Eurasian lynx and numerous wild dogs as well. The emergence of snow leopards is positive feedback from nature’s condition.
