Actress Priyanka Chopra offers her tributes to late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Champion of gender equality and the US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away at the aga of 84 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. According to the official statement released, she passed away in her Washington DC home in the presence of her family. Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas offered her respect for the veteran justice on her Instagram account by posting a picture of Ginsburg with the caption:

“ For both men and women the first step in getting power is to become visible to others, and then to put on an impressive show…. As women achieve power, barriers will fall. As society sees what women can do, there will be more women out there doing things, and we will all be better off for it- Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Your impact and contribution will never be forgotten. Thank you, RBG. Your legacy lives on. Peace”

The social media saw many other celebrities and political figures pour in their condolences and thank Ginsburg for her unparalleled contribution to the society  in general and to women empowerment in particular. Actress Lisa Ray also posted similar words of respect quoting Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in her Instagram post along with Ginsburg’s image saying,

“ Women belong in all places where decisions are being made- RBG RIP”

Other celebrities including Mariah Carey, Chris Evans, Mindy Kaling, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis also tweeted in tribute. Actress Jennifer Lopez posted a picture of her and her boyfriend meeting the Justice.
