The Hathras victim family is provided with three-layered security by the district administration in Uttar Pradesh after the UP police and the CM Yogi Adityanath claimed that this case belongs to a “larger conspiracy”. The UP police alleged that four people in link with Popular Front of India (PFI) and its student wing named Campus Front of India (CFI) were suspected to have a connection with the Hathras case.

The four suspected people were arrested on Monday, October 5 in Mathura while en route Delhi to Hathras, UP. News agency ANI reported that an FIR was lodged against them claiming that they “were going to Hathras to disrupt peace as a part of a larger conspiracy”. The four men were booked under Section 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and were sent to preventive detention for 14 days on Tuesday. Following that the authorities have installed a metal detector and CCTV camera as a part of the three-layered security for the family.
