Karnataka Congress accuses state BJP government of failing in the proper handling of COVID in the state

Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa has reshuffled the cabinet on Monday by changing the existing health minister of the state. The Congress party has accused the move by the BJP government as a proof of the government’s failure in handling the COVID situation in the state.

The former Health and Family welfare minister B. Sreeramulu was replaced by the Chief Minister on October 12, and the position was allocated to the Medical Education Minister K. Sudhakar.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President, D K Shivakumar opposed the decision and took to his Twitter account to express his displeasure regarding the same. His Twitter post read that the cabinet reshuffle move taken by the CM is a proof of the charges made by the Congress, since the start of the pandemic, that the government’s strategy of handling the COVID situation is incompetent which also has led massive loss of life and livelihood.
