The vehicle inspectors had a go at making penalties for truck drivers despite the rule extending the validity of licences and other transport documents. The appointment of bouncers to collect the money have brought in a sense of fright in the minds of these truck drivers.

The bouncers stop the vehicles and demand the documents from the truck drivers. If the drivers are unable to produce valid documents, they demand a sum ranging from three hundred rupees to five hundred rupees as a penal fine. On the account of non-payment, the drivers are dragged to the vehicle inspector and the drivers end up paying the fine as such.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had already extended the validity of driving licensed and travel documents to December 30. 2020 as on 24th August this year.

The RTO authorities have promised to take action regarding the same.
