Deep Depression in Western Bay of Bengal

The disturbance over all the west-central BoB which is also known as the Bay of Bengal pushed west-northwest, escalated into terrible depression which laid at 1130 hrs Indian Standard Time on 12th day of  October 2020 across the same area around 15.9 ° N as well as longitude 84.8 ° E, around 250 km southern-southeast of Visakhapatnam, as well as 290 km eastern-southeast of Kakinada from Andhra Pradesh as well as 330 km east-southeast of Narsapur from Andhra Pradesh.

It is also very willing to move western-northwest and reach the northern Andhra Pradesh coast around Narsapur and Visakhapatnam, near Kakinada throughout the morning hours of 13th day of October 2020 as just a ‘Deep Depression’ with a thermal heat wind direction of 55-65 km per hour in gusts of 75 km per hour.

Low to moderate drops at most locations with strong to very heavy falls at isolated locations expected to happen over the coastline of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, as well as Rayalaseema including northern interior Karnataka and extreme falls at remote locations over southern Odisha, coastline & southern interior Karnataka, as well as Madhya Maharashtra, along with Marathwada including Kerala on 11th day of October 2020.

Weak to moderate precipitation at most locations with strong to very heavy precipitation at isolated locations expected to happen in the south of Odisha and adjacent to Chhattisgarh, including coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, as well as Rayalaseema, Karnataka & North Kerala including heavy precipitation at isolated locations over Central Maharashtra, Marathwada along with Vidarbha on 12th day of October 2020. Very torrential rains (> 20 cm each day) are also probable to appear at remote locations over Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha.
