It is reported that the railway station will now have a mini amphitheatre and a bus bay among other facilities.

The renovation work got delayed due to labour shortage triggered by the pandemic, although it was supposed to be completed in March 2020. An SWR official said that currently, the station area faces heavy traffic due to the work, but he assured the reduction of the traffic once the work is completed.

The sources all disclosed the features of the renovated station. The authorities try to provide the utmost comfort to its passengers by connecting the metro with the station and adding a bus bay for BMTC vehicles.
