The future role of Ayurveda in managing the Covid 19 pandemic will be the focus of this year’s ‘Ayurveda Day’ observation. The Ayurveda Day is celebrated every year from 2016 on the day of Dhanwantri Jayanti. It falls on 13 November 2020 this year.

The goal of Ayurveda Day is to reflect on the strengths of Ayurveda and its specific treatment concepts, to work towards reducing the burden of disease and associated mortality by leveraging the potential of Ayurveda, to tap into the potential of Ayurveda to contribute to national health policies and national health initiatives, and to encourage ayurvedic concepts of healing in society. Thus, Ayurveda Day is more an occasion for rededication to the practice and community than one of festivals or festivals.

The Ministry of Ayush has agreed to arrange numerous events to mark the 5th ‘Ayurveda Day,’ with a particular emphasis on the issues related to the current pandemic and how Ayurveda can help to create immunity in this sense.
