TRIFED, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, has added 100 new Forest Fresh Organic Products in its portfolio of Tribes India products to add more bounty to nature. Forest Fresh Naturals and Organics, a new line of tribal goods and products, was launched by Shri Pravir Krishna, Managing Director of TRIFED digitally today. 100 new products/products will be released weekly and included in the Tribes India catalogue. The first collection of 100 items has been launched online today. This and subsequently included items would be available at 125 Tribes India stores, Tribes India mobile vans and also on online channels such as Tribes India E-marketplace (tribesindia.com) and e-tailers. As part of its ongoing efforts to help support the wages and livelihoods of tribal craftsmen and foresters, newer goods and natural products have come from tribal communities around the world.

Organic food is distinguished from conventionally grown food since organic food is either grown under a natural farming method without the use of synthetic fertilisers or manufactured goods made from organically produced raw materials. The growth in the prevalence of these goods was largely a direct result of increasing public health issues and recognition of the health benefits of organic food.

Organic product sales are growing, but the lion’s share of the food market is still disproportionately dominated by traditional food. One of the easiest ways to improve sales and create repeat buyers is to be armed with key information about organic products that shoppers need to hear about.
