Multiplexes are hoping to reopen before Diwali after eight months of break for the coronavirus pandemic. They await for the guidelines of operations from the Centre as well as the State government.

Many multiplex exhibitors say that the city multiplexes cannot open in isolation, it has to wait until the multiplexes across the country reopen. The exhibitors also mention that they need at least a fortnight from the announcement of the guidelines to prepare for the cinema-goers to enter the multiplexes with utmost carefulness.

As pre-preparations, regular maintenance has been operated in the movie theatres and the multiplexes as they ensured the proper sanitization of the seats as well as the hall. They are also focusing on alternating the seat arrangements to maintain physical distancing.

QR code-based and online booking will be encouraged and no food and beverage services will be provided. Sanitizers will be located in strategic positions.
